Flipped World
Wearable devices, Video
2011

"Flipped world" is a wearable device which could simultaneously reverse the wearers’ visual and acoustic perception and challenge their recognition of daily scenes. It consists of a set of mirrors and sound pipes. An alternative “reality” is presented in front of wearers after their brains get used to the reversed perception, which might also set a challenge to their minds when they are trying to switch back to the “normal” world. This project intends to discuss whether “reality” is based on human sense/faith or the so-called material world.
